Stephen S. Davie has been at Mackenzie Hughes since 1989. He is a partner
at the firm, representing clients in all facets of civil personal injury
litigation, including premises liability, medical malpractice, motor vehicle
and public transportation liability, labor law/construction site liability
and product liability actions. He is currently representing several corporations
in numerous actions throughout New York State concerning injuries allegedly
caused by exposure to asbestos. Steve is also actively engaged in defending
numerous lead paint cases throughout the Central New York area.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 from the University
of Buffalo and graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse
University College of Law in 1989. While a student, he was a member
of the Justinian Honor Society and a staff editor for the Journal
of International Law and Commerce from 1989 to 1990. Steve was admitted
to the New York Bar in 1990.
Steve holds memberships in the Onondaga County, New York State and
American Bar Associations. He has also volunteered his legal services
as a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association's Syracuse Housing
Court Landlond-Tenant Clinic. He has served as a student advisor
for the Cazenovia High School Mock Trial team, and as a judge for
Syracuse University's Mock Trial Competition. Steve has also served
as an Arbitrator for the City of Syracuse Small Claims Court and
lecturer for New York State CLE Seminars.
In his spare time, he takes part in Chittenango's Soccer Club as
a coach, enjoys writing and recording music on a 16-track digital
home studio, and is an avid golfer.
