Anthony L. Germano joined Mackenzie Hughes in 2005 and is an associate
at the firm. He is part of the litigation department with an emphasis
in commercial and civil litigation. Anthony is admitted to the Bars of
New York, New Jersey, and five federal courts. Anthony is a member of
the Onondaga County, New York State and Monmouth County Bar Associations.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Sociology in
2000 from Syracuse University, Anthony attended Seton Hall University
School of Law, where he graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate in
2003. While a student, Anthony was a member of the Interscholastic Moot
Court Team, where he competed in Moot Court competitions in New Jersey,
New York, Delaware and California. He also served as a Teaching Fellow
to several first-year classes.
Prior to joining Mackenzie Hughes, Anthony worked as an assistant prosecutor
in the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office in Freehold, New Jersey. There
he conducted all aspects of trials in the Superior Courts of New Jersey,
negotiated pleas, prepared motions in court, interviewed witnesses, police
officers and victims, and prepared appeals to both the Appellate Division
and Supreme Court of New Jersey. While at the Prosecutor's Office, Anthony
also assisted the Prosecutor, First Assistant Prosecutor and Deputy Assistant
Prosecutors in various special projects and cases.
In his spare time Anthony enjoys participating in and watching sports
and spending time with his family and friends.
